Wayne Alani, M.D.

Dr. Wayne O. Alani is an orthopedic surgeon practicing general orthopedics. In addition to his Texas license, Dr. Alani is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Alani has active staff privileges at West Houston Medical Center, Southwest Memorial Hospital and Texas Orthopedic Hospital. Dr. Alani also has consulting and attending privileges at OakBend Hospital and at The University of Texas at Houston.

Education & Publishing

A native of Bryan, Texas, Dr. Alani attended Texas A&M University in College Station. He received his medical doctorate from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1983. He completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical School in Wichita in 1988. Dr. Alani then completed his training with a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children in St. Louis, Mo.

Professional Affiliations & Publishing

Dr. Alani, who has written and presented more than a dozen papers, currently serves as Chairman of the Utilization Committee and Secretary-Treasurer of Medical Staff at Columbia West Houston Medical Center. He's also on the Operating Room Equipment Committee at Memorial Hospital Southwest.
